3D Artist
As a 3D Artist, you’ll play a huge role in bringing our generation-defining games to life. The role will see you collaborating with project managers, art directors and fellow artists to turn concepts to reality. You will need an excellent eye for composition, form and lighting, and should boast a good understanding of model optimization for real-time performance and 3D modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Translate 2D designs into high quality 3D art assets quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with our Art Lead and Development Team in contributing to our Art Style Guides.
- Translate your ideas and drafts into presentable explanations and demonstrations.
- Identify disparities and opportunities for improvement within the creative process.
- Sculpt, Model, UV/Texture, and integrate both high and low polygon meshes in a PBR pipeline.
- Take an active role in maintaining and refining the Art Director’s vision.
- Research, explore, and communicate best practices and approaches in art.
- Contribute to formal and informal critique, and provide effective feedback to other artists for their development.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree/diploma in game development or a related field, with a good understanding of the game market.
- Strong knowledge of core design principles such as form, colour and composition.
- Strong high and low poly modeling and texturing skills.
- Well-versed in art and design as a whole, specifically in utilizing 3D Max and Photoshop.
- A portfolio that reflects high-quality game art, with your own creative flair and originality.
- Independent and self-driven, able to prioritise and organise tasks while simultaneously collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communicator in terms of translating ideas to different parties and teammates.
- Positive and open-minded attitude, empowered by constructive feedback.
Bonus Attributes:
- Passionate about Game Design, Game Development.
- Interest in Gaming, VR, XR is a huge plus.
